Wait! Before you make a change..... PDF Print E-mail

Did you know that according to the Restated Restrictions and Covenants of the Polo Fields you need to contact the Architectural Review Committee before you make a change to your property, ?  Its true! Before you paint (unless it is the same color) the sides/trim of your home, put up a basket ball hoop/swingset, put on a sun porch, etc. it is incumbent upon you to contact the Homeowners Association for approval.  As most things get approved, this is a quick step in the process.  However, it is one of our governing laws designed to maintain the integrity of the neighborhood. Getting the correct approvals can save you time and money too! To reach a member of the Architecture and Review committee, contact the Homeowners Board at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .  Thank you!

Home Maintenance

This time of year the effects of a harsh winter on your home’s exterior become clear. You may have roof tiles that were lifted off in the wind, a deck that needs resealing, or paint that is peeling and now does not stop water from soaking into wood trim. Some homes are reaching a point where repainting is necessary. Our bylaws require maintenance of your home’s exterior – please inspect your home after the long winter for any necessary maintenance. If you are going to be repainting your home in a new color, please contact the architectural review board as our neighborhood covenants have guidelines for paint color - think neutral tones that complement both the neighborhood and existing brick. If you hire companies out for work around your home, please remember to tell them that their work signs are not permitted in your yard.  If you are happy with their work and would like to both include them in our preferred vendor list AND include them in our email listing, please send your referral to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Lawn Care

This time of year is very important to establish your lawn to look good for the rest of the season.  The covenants require that lawns be maintained properly.  There are a variety of lawn care companies that will maintain your yard for a fee (e.g. fertilizing, mowing, edging, weeding) if you are uninterested in doing so on a regular basis.  We have listed a few referals for lawn companies in recent newsletters.  At this time of year the most important thing to do is apply a “pre-emergent” weed preventer to your lawn to stop weeds before they start.  With many of our neighbors selling their homes, it is respectful for all of us to keep the neighborhood beautiful – homes that sell for higher amounts keep our home values as high as possible.  Additionally, curb appeal ads to bank appraisals! Please be mindful of your speed! PDF Print E-mail

Please Slow Down!

As the weather warms, children are more often playing outside, golf carts are out, and people are walking!  The legal speed limit is 25 miles per hour in the subdivision and we ask that you and members of your family not exceed this limit.  Maybe you could make it the topic of your dinner conversation tonight!

Drive slowly and be aware that at any moment a child could accidentally run into the street – an accident could change your life forever.  We have had a few complaints about speeding already - so pretty please, slow down!
